One of the greatest strengths of SVN|JJMottram is our intimate knowledge of commercial real estate in Southeast and Central Alabama, specifically in Montgomery, Autauga, Elmore, Lee, Bullock, and Macon Counties. SVN|JJMottram Managing Director, John Mottram, brings over 36 years of brokerage experience, specializing in commercial investments (income producing and vacant), development and re-development, land, leasing, retail, single tenant net leased properties and tenant representation. SVN|JJMottram coordinates well with the SVN Multi-Family group and has represented numerous Multi-Family property owners in Central Alabama.
John started his career with Jim Wilson & Associates, where he leased regional shopping centers such as the River Chase Galleria in Birmingham, AL. He later worked at McClinton & Company for over 16 years where he was the Vice President of Leasing and Development. In 2007, John founded JJ Mottram Company and celebrated his 10 year anniversary with the opening of SVN|JJMottram. He specializes in land acquisition, such as the compilation of 70 different parcels assembled for Midtown Plaza in Montgomery. In addition, he has developed a strong ability to market commercial properties for such clients as Walmart Realty and site selections for clients such as Circle K. Mostly recently, John has developed properties for Verizon, Family Dollar, Starbucks, Kay Jewelers, Buffalo Wild Wings, Circle K and Whataburger. SVN|JJMottram has a collective experience which positions us well to be a premier service provider for land acquisition, commercial development projects, coordination of zoning, commercial planning, tenant representation, along with the selling and leasing of commercial real estate assets.

Education: Bachelor of Science- Business Administration, California State University, Chico, California, 1982.
Memberships: CCIM, ICSC, Montgomery Chamber of Commerce. Has served on the Board of Seton Haven Management Corporation which provides safe, affordable housing to seniors.
